School Zone Road Signs Keep Kids Safe

What is the issue? In America, there are over 81.5 million kindergarten through 12th grade students. With every season and semester, school districts and cities strive to create safe routes for their kids as they travel to and from school each day. Traffic around schools can be especially heavy, and all too often drivers fail to notice a lower speed limit in effect.

An alarming statistic has emerged from the National Highway Safety Administration: traffic accidents involving pedestrians occur most frequently between 6 and 9 am as well as 3 and 6 pm. These are the hours when students are traveling to and from school, so it is doubly important to ensure that students can safely arrive and depart each day.
