The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

For people with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics is often the only place where they have an opportunity to participate in their communities and develop belief in themselves. For that reason, and so many more, it was an honor and a privilege for a team of Zumar players to participate in the 1st Annual Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office TopGolf Tournament. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all those who orchestrated this great event for an amazing cause.
